  • 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM July is ususally a skip month for the Austin SharePoint User Grouphowever, this year we’re doing a social thing – the Austin SharePoint User Group Happy Hour. Join us, won’t you?

June 2012

June 28

  • 11:30 PM – 12:30 PM SharePoint ShopTalk
    • I was in the panelist spotlight presenting the online version of SharePoint Group Therapy (A SharePoint Governance Workshop).  I was disappointed by the lack of interactivity… I was hoping for more questions from the attendees.  To top it off, as things began to get a little more interactive, the session got prematurely cut off due to a technical issue.  We resumed a few minutes later, but most of the participants didn’t rejoin.  But I’m going to hang in there and continue to make myself available going forward to answer questions in future sessions. Listen to the session here,

  • *5:30 PM – 10:00 PM Austin Tweetup
    • Since these three events are simultaneous, you’ll have to choose.  I’ll probably be at the MSBIUG, but I may move from one event to the next as each ends, since they don’t all end at the same time and are pretty close to each other.
    • I made the first two of the evening events, but was too done in to go to the Tweetup afterward.  There was a lot of great material at A-SPIN, and a couple of curious directions the discussion went, pointed out to me by John Peltier, who is doing the forthcoming writeup for the A-SPIN website.

August 12

  • 5:30 PM -8:00 PM Central Texas SharePoint User Group– “SharePoint Branding – Everything You Need to Know!”
    • This was a good, informative event.  A little less structured than I would have preferred for the topic, but Heather Solomon it a great speaker. It will be great to have her speaking at SharePoint Saturday San Antonio.
